The format

Four sections, one sitting

You move through the sections in exam order. Reading and Writing are the complete, full-length tests; Listening and Speaking are condensed for a single sitting.

An honest note: this is a condensed full mock. It walks you through all four skills under real scoring, but a shortened Listening section and a single Speaking cue card approximate a full sitting — they don't replace one. Sit at least one full-length official practice test before your exam day.

The full mock exam — common questions

How long does the IELTS full mock exam take?

About 2 hours 20 minutes. Reading and Writing run at full real-exam length — 60 minutes each — while Listening and Speaking are condensed so all four skills fit one sitting.

Is the mock exam the same length as the real IELTS?

Not quite. Reading (3 passages, 40 questions) and Writing (Task 1 + Task 2) are identical to the real papers. Listening covers Parts 2 and 3 rather than all four, and Speaking is a single Part 2 cue card instead of a three-part interview.

Do I get a band score for each section?

Yes. Each section is banded as you complete it, and the sitting ends with an overall band — the average of your section bands, rounded on the official half-band rule.

Can I sit the full mock exam on the free plan?

Yes, once. There is no separate mock quota — the sitting draws on your normal free allowances, which is realistically enough for one complete condensed mock. Pro removes the limit and shows full band measurement on every section.

Do I need an account to sit the mock exam?
