The format

Four sections, one sitting

You move through the sections in exam order, and every one of them is the complete, full-length test — the same four papers, at the same lengths, as exam day.

An honest note: every section now runs at full length, but two things still differ from exam day. Your Speaking partner is a recording prompt rather than a live examiner, so there are no follow-up questions read off your answers; and Listening and Reading are generated papers, not retired official ones. Sit at least one official practice test as well before your exam day.

The IELTS mock test — common questions

How long does the IELTS full mock exam take?

About 2 hours 45 minutes — the same as the real thing. All four sections now run at full length: Listening is the whole 4-part paper, Reading and Writing are 60 minutes each, and Speaking is the complete 3-part interview.

Is the mock exam the same length as the real IELTS?

Yes. Listening is the full 4-part paper, Reading is 3 passages and 40 questions, Writing is Task 1 plus Task 2 in 60 minutes, and Speaking is the full 3-part interview. Two things still differ from exam day: your Speaking partner is a recording rather than a live examiner, and the Listening and Reading papers are generated to the official spec rather than retired official ones.

Do I get a band score for each section?

Yes. Each section is banded as you complete it, and the sitting ends with an overall band — the average of your section bands, rounded on the official half-band rule.

Is this IELTS mock test free?

Yes, once. There is no separate mock quota — the sitting draws on your normal free allowances, which is realistically enough for one complete mock. Pro removes the limit and shows full band measurement on every section.

Do I need an account to sit the mock exam?
